Humans have used nature to teach lessons for centuries. Stories from the stars developed to explain world events. Folktales shared narratives with morals through the actions of animals. Modern society uses slogan from nature to communicate messages.
I love trees and snap pictures of them to capture their unique qualities. When I browse through my collection of images, they provide inspiration. Simply by being, they share knowledge to a quiet observer. The gentle giants that tower on the hillsides, the young saplings that are just beginning to establish roots, the distorted timbers that have weathered difficult times, all have stories to tell. I started wondering what they might say if they could talk. Would they preach wisdom from years of observing humans’ behaviors both restorative and destructive? I look at the trees, wonder what they might say and find wisdom in their existence.
We are not alone. When people stand together, we are strong and beautiful.
The unexpected turn in our lives install variety and unique personalities.
When challenges leave us feeling wounded, we can still grow strong and stand tall.
Reach out, grasp desires, and hang on because you are a survivor.
The crazy days will define us and allow us to develop our own style.
Outside influences will push and force us to lean, but they do not have to beat us down.
We may lose part of ourselves, but with a strong base we will survive.
If we leave a part of ourselves open to accept others and remain open minded, our holes will fill with possibilities.
But down roots; they will be there to offer support when needed.
Life will sometimes turn you upside down but that will not dimmish your beauty.
Sometimes negative events steal our vitality, but positive events help us grow back and reenergize.
Remain open to change; you might like the outcome.
Some people are late bloomers, but everyone has potential.
The impossible is possible.
Be a person who welcomes others, and you will never be alone.
